Google users might face Google-paid AI features in search results
Google is about to consider charging a fee for its “premium” features run by Artificial intelligence. It is going to be the first time in history that Google is about to put any of its core features behind the paywall and users will see Google Paid AI Features in Search.
However, the traditional search engine of Google will continue to be free and users will see ads side by side like now.
As per the sources, Google engineers are working to roll out this feature soon. However, for now, it is not clear when it will be rolled out in the market. With this new update, Google is looking for a variety of options. This will include the AI search feature on the latest AI model Gemini, Gmail, and Google Docs. However, after this news, Google shares slide to 1%

One of the spokespersons at Google said to the sources,” We’re continuing to rapidly improve the product to serve new user needs. “We’re not working on or considering an ad-free search experience. As we’ve done many times before, we’ll continue to build new premium capabilities and services to enhance our subscription offerings across Google.”
After the launch of Chatgpt and now OpenAi’s SORA, the tech giant is threatened with its potential risk. While chatGPT is capable of providing detailed answers to many questions, it is causing a threat to the Google search engine. Along with that many new AI-based startups are evolving and coming up with the latest technologies like AI Music Tools, voice cloning tools, and many more advanced technologies.
These startups and the latest AI innovations are forcing Google to rethink its traditional search engine and the way it offers information to users. The Google ads are a major source of revenue for the users. Google reported $US175 billion ($267 billion) from the search results and ads, which is a big part of the company’s overall sales.
Google is also testing its own AI-powered tools like Google Genie AI, and experimenting with these tools to provide more precise and better results to the users. But for now, it will be too early for the tech giant to include these tools in its traditional search engine.
“For years, we’ve been reinventing Search to help people access information in the way that’s most natural to them,” said Google. “With our generative AI experiments in Search, we’ve already served billions of queries, and we’re seeing positive Search query growth in all of our major markets. We’re continuing to rapidly improve the product to serve new user needs.”
Well for now Google has nothing to announce about Google Paid AI Features in Search.
