On Monday 26 February 2024, Lenovo introduced the first crystal-clear Laptop in the tech world. In their statement, the company said that the Think Book Transparent Display Laptop is the first laptop with a 17.3-inch micro transparent display. The project is named “Project Crystal” and is unveiling the concept of transparency in the industry. This new project is showcasing the focus on AI-driven projects and a sustainable future.

The new Lenovo Thinkpad features a 17.3-inch micro LED transparent screen with a digital transparent keyboard. It offers a complete borderless and see-through display experience to the users. The laptop has the power of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC), which opens up its efficiency by enabling it to interact with physical objects. It overlays the digital information to create unique content out of it.

The company said that “The Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop Concept is not only a proof of concept but showcases a futuristic perspective on AI PCs, blending digital and physical environments that can enhance user experiences in ways never imagined,”.
The transparency of the screen depends on the level of brightness. If the pixels are set to bleak then the transparency is around 55 percent. Also, the screen will appear Opaque, if the brightness is set to 1000 nits.
Lenovo has introduced AIGC technology in it so that it can interact with real-world objects. Lenovo said, “AI in combination with transparent displays will open up new ways of engaging with data and applications, offering opportunities to develop new features and form factors.”
