GPT-5 might arrive in mid-2024, the summer season as a “materially better” update to ChatGPT

As per the sources, GPT 5 is expected to be released by OpenAI, somewhere in the middle of 2024. It is going to be a “materially better” version with some exciting upgrades.

OpenAI is training its new model GPT 5, and as per the reports the new model is under testing and training phase with the internal team. The company is working on its new advanced AI model to replace the exciting GPT 4 version.

Later, the “Red Team” will check the securities boundaries and other aspects of the new LLM model, and then it will be moved to the beta testing phase. During the Beta testing, the team will get to know about further improvements before it is released for public use. After all these processes we can expect a release date of GPT 5.

According to the report, “OpenAI is still training GPT-5, and after that is complete, the model will undergo internal safety testing and further “red teaming” to identify and address any issues before its public release. The release date could be delayed depending on the duration of the safety testing process.”

According to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, “GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo are now the leading LLM technologies, but they “kind of suck,” at least compared to what will come in the future.”

However, the anonymous CEO said that OpenAI has demonstrated this new model to their company to check the use cases. “It’s really good, like materially better,” said one CEO who recently saw a version of GPT-5.

Till now there has been no official announcement from OpenAI or Salt Altman about the release or launch of GPT 5. But believing the business reports, we can expect a release somewhere in mid-2024, in the summertime.
