Francine Bennett Uses Data Science To Make AI More Accurate
Francine Bennet, founding member of the board at the Ada Lovelace Institute has recently shared her journey and challenges in AI. She was recently interviewed with Techcrunch, where she expressed her vision for AI using data science.
In the male-dominated industry, she is one of the women who has successfully created an impact on her work in the research and AI field. Her Journey towards AI:

Apart from this, she is a co-founder of an AI-based start-up. For the last four years, she has successfully led the AI and data research institute (Ada Lovelace Institute).

During her interview, Francine stated that she started with core Maths, and later on she shifted to AI. “I came to AI and machine learning later on when it started to become obvious to me and to everyone else that because data was becoming much more abundant in lots of contexts, that opened up exciting possibilities”– Said Francine.
When she was asked about the challenges she faced in the industry, her answers were really motivating and inspiring. She advised the woman to look for a space where skills are the priority. She also advised the women not to try to know every technical aspect but to – just start by starting on something you’re intrigued by, and work from there.

She said-” I want humans to feel able to take charge of what they do with those tools.” Bennet urges the users they understand the tool properly which they are using properly and also they should be clear about what they are desiring. She also addressed that it is not the responsibility of humans only but the government and industry should also create some conditions so that humans feel more confident about these tools.
