Get ready for the upcoming Google Photos Update. Google is bringing new AI-powered editing for all Google Photos users. Dina Berrada, Director of Product Management, Google Photos has shared this news with all the Google Photos lovers. From 15 May photos users will have access to AI-powered editing tools, like Magic Editor that too for free.
“Starting on May 15, many of our AI-powered editing tools — like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Portrait Light — will be available to anyone using Google Photos, no subscription required. You’ll also be able to access these features on more devices, including Pixel tablets, said Dina Berrada in her blog post.

With these new generative AI-powered editing tools like Magic Eraser, you can make your photos more shiny and attractive. However looking into the details, Google has said that for using these editing tools, no subscription will be required for the users…but with some limitations.
Android and iOS users can only save up to 10 images per month while using the free version of Google Photos. If they want to save more photos then it is required for the users to go for a premium plan of up to (2TB and above) or you will need a pixel device.

Also, Google has said that” Some editing features aren’t supported on 32-bit devices. To use some features, you must have at least 3 GB RAM and Android 8.0 and up.” Also with the expansion of these updates, Google will bring exciting features for the pixel users.
Introducing the all-new Google AI-powered Editing Tools, Google said that the feature will be starting rolling out from 31 May for a few users. But in the coming days, the new feature will be available for all Google Photos users. For users who are using chromeOS to access the photo, they will need a Chromebook Plus model running ChromeOS version 118+ or devices with at least 3GB RAM.
