Elon Musk Reacts To Apple Canceling Their Electric Car Project; Announces New Tesla Roadster That’ll ‘Maybe Fly?
The CEO of Tesla has posted on X(formerly Twitter), “There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car”. This post surprised the sports car industry after the news of Apple’s “Project Titan”.
When Apple has announced “Project Titan”, the company would no longer work on this. Elon Musk posted two Cigie emojis on X. Later, he also posted “The natural state of a car company is dead.” Around 2500 employees were working on “Project Titan” which has now been suggested to look for another role in the company. If they do not find any project for them, they will have to face layoff. The numbers for the layoff are not clear for now.
This move from Apple was surprising for everyone as this is one of the most significant and ambitious projects of the company as per the report of Bloomberg.
But the latest tweet by Elon Musk surprised sports car lovers when he announced that they are developing a new autonomous vehicle in collaboration with Space X. Continuing with his post he said that the production and designing are complete and they are planning to unveil the car by the end of the year. “Tonight, we radically increased the design goals for the new Tesla Roadster,” said Elon Musk.

The only Focus is not the Speed of the car!
Elon Musk has also said that Speed is going to be the least interesting part of this car. The Roadstar will do around 0-60 mph per second and that is thanks to a Tesla-SpaceX collaboration, Musk said. “I think it has a shot at being the most mind-blowing product demo of all time,” Musk said in the post.
In the year 2023, the CEO of Tesla announced that they start producing the most awaited next-generation Roadstar electric sports car in 2024. Now Elon Mask has twitted the production is complete and they will unveil the car by the end of 2024 and shipping will start in 2025. Before that, Tesla first unveiled the Four-Seated electric car in 2017. This car was open for pre-booking for around $50.000.
As per Musk’s statement “Speed is the least interesting part”, this has created curiosity in the minds of sports car lovers. They are assuming what Roadster is coming to bring for them. With the unveiling of Roadstar by the end of this year, all these questions will finally get their answers. But definitely, this is going to be a big change in the sports industry.
