Poe AI is an AI-powered tool, which allows the creators to create their own GPT. As a user, Poe allows you to ask any query or questions to the AI chatbots and even you can have back-forth conversations with these tools. Quera, founded by Adam D’Angelo launched the Poe in February 2023 for the developers. So that they can make their own chatbots and can reach the users.

Poe’s Price-Per-Message Model for AI Bots is the new follow-up to the company’s previous revenue model which was released in October 2023. Under that, the creators get a cutout earning when any user subscribes to the premium version of Poe AI. “Today we’re introducing a new way for model developers and bot creators to generate revenue on @poe_platform: price per message! Creators can now set a per-message price for their Bots and generate revenue every time a user messages them.” Quera CEO Adam D’Angelo.

“This pricing mechanism is important for developers with a substantial model inference or API costs,” D’Angelo noted in a post on X. “Our goal is to enable a thriving ecosystem of model developers and bot creators who build on top of models and cover these operational costs is a key part of that,” he added.

Along with the new revenue model, Poe has also introduced enhanced analytics dashboards for its users. This dashboard will now display the average of the Bot creators across paywalls, subscriptions, and messages. The company is hoping that this new revenue model will encourage more creators to create useful GPT for diverse categories including tutoring, knowledge, assistants, and many others.
