Simbian bringing AI to existing security tools, said “AI is the only Rescue”
Simbian, a Mountain View, CA-based company is now bridging AI technology to upgrade the efficiency of its exciting security tools. Simbians is now focusing on offering more personalized recommendations and automated actions.
Ambuj Kumar, the founder of Simbian has recently talked in his interview about the fusion of IA in the cybersecurity tools. Ambuj has expertise in engineering and cybersecurity. Previously he worked with Nvidia and co-founded Fortanix, which shows his expertise in the security domain.
In his recent interviews, he has highlighted the concerns security experts are facing nowadays. “Security leaders are stressed,” Kumar told in his interviews. “CISOs don’t last more than a couple of years on average, and security analysts have some of the highest churn. And things are getting worse.”
Kumar claims that his company Symbian has identified the issues and focusing more on automated security rather than autonomous security. In his blog, he focused that Cybersecurity is an emerging problem that needs to be addressed with a solution that works together. Kumar said that the companies are now using different security tools for handling their issues but still, they cannot prevent their users from clicking the bad links.

Identifying the security issues Kumar stated,” A typical enterprise uses 45 different security tools to secure an average of 1061 applications, each combination requiring a unique set of product knowledge, know-how, and best practices. This is a near-impossible expectation even for the world’s best-funded security teams.” He said that for all these security problems “AI is the only rescue” and that’s the reason they are introducing Simbian as a solution.
He said” Simbian is building a Fully Autonomous Security platform for enterprises. Fully autonomous security means letting humans make all the strategic decisions while AI actually implements those decisions.
While he was explaining Autonomous Security, he described that under this they will let humans make all the strategic decisions while AI will work on implementing those decisions. This integration will together provide an outstanding solution to cybersecurity problems. He claims that customers will have full control over their data. At Simbian, they will be using a customer-focused encryption key over which customers will have full control. Also, customers can delete their data anytime if they wish to.
“Cybersecurity is one of the most important problems of our time, and has famously fragmented ecosystem with thousands of vendors,” board member Gokul Rajaram. “Companies have tried to build expertise around specific products and problems. I applaud Simbian’s method of building an integrated platform that would understand and operate all of security. While this is an extremely challenging approach from a technology perspective, I’ll put my money — and I did put my money — on Simbian. It’s the team with unique experience all the way from hardware to cloud”, he added.
With this, the company recently raised funding of $10 million from investors including Cota Capital, Icon Ventures, Firebolt, Secure Octane, and Rain Capital.
