Chrome Launches Native Build for Arm-Powered Windows Laptops
Google has recently released a new version of an Arm64 version of its Chrome browser for Windows PCs. As Chrome is the most popular browser among users, this release will optimize the Chrome browser for Windows PCs powered by Snapdragon.
In their new release, Google announced “We’ve designed Chrome browser to be fast, secure and easy to use across desktops and mobile devices, and we’re always looking for ways to bring this experience to more people,” said Hiroshi Lockheimer, Senior Vice President, Google. “Our close collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies will help ensure that Chrome users get the best possible experience while browsing the Web on current ARM-compatible PCs.”

“The new version of Google Chrome will help cement Snapdragon X Elite’s role as the premier platform for Windows PCs starting in mid-2024,” said Cristiano Amon, President and CEO, of Qualcomm Inc. “The PC industry is on the cusp of an inflection point, and as we enter the era of the AI PC, we can’t wait to see Chrome shine by taking advantage of the powerful Snapdragon X Elite system.”- They added.
Qualcomm is enabling the world so that everything can be intelligently connected. Google has cleared that anyone can download Windows on Snapdragon who has an existing Windows on Snapdragon device. In its collaboration with Qualcomm, chrome is planning to make the best user experience while browsing the web on current Arm-compatible PCs.
Google says – “the release will be out this week. Assuming you don’t have an Arm laptop yet, you can visit “google.com/chrome,” scroll down to the footer, and click “other platforms,” which will eventually show the new release.”
