Intel launches new AI Chip Gaudi 3 to take on Nvidia
At the recent vision event, Intel introduced a new Artificial intelligence chip to the world, Gaudi 3. Since 2019, Intel has been working on this project and finally, they introduced the new version of chips to the world. In the coming months, Gaudi 3 will be available to Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Lenovo, and Super Micro Computers.
“We’ve been seeing the excitement with generative AI, the star of the show for 2023,” Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said at a launch event in New York where he announced Gaudi3 along with other chips focused on AI applications.“We think the AI PC will be the star of the show for the upcoming year,” Gelsinger added.

The Gaudi 3 accelerator delivers “50% on average better inference and 40% on average better power efficiency” than Nvidia’s H100 at “a fraction of the cost,” Intel said. During the launch, Intel compared its chips with Nvidia’s H100 and claimed its performance was better than that. According to Intel “Gaudi 3 will be faster and more power-efficient than the H100. It will train certain types of AI models 1.7 times more quickly and be 1.5 times better at running the software, the chipmaker claims.”
Along with that Intel also announced its Core Ultra chips, which are designed for Windows during the event. This chip includes NPU, a specialized AI part. With the help of this, the chip will perform advanced tasks with the help of AI. With these releases, Intel Stocks are high with 0.4% at $38.12 as of about 12:45 p.m. ET Tuesday.
These new innovations of Intel are somewhere claiming that despite the AI startups, traditional processor makers are also focusing on the use of AI in their work. So that they can provide advanced versions of technologies to the world.
